Pulsing Celebration

On the second day of my recent workshop there was an Indian wedding at the resort. It was so celebratory with dancing, drumming, and the clothing was spectacular. We watched the parade of pulsing celebration, moving and dancing together; an incredible feast for the senses. It’s always amazing to me how Spirit supports us moment to moment. We didn’t need much of an excuse to join in on the celebration.
What a simple delight!

Redmoon Theater’s Youth Spectacle
| Went to see Redmoon Theater’s Youth Spectacle and it was a pure delight. Over 750 children from 5 schools and 8 neighborhoods participated in a collaborative spectacle event. Spectacle involves the use of large objects often mechanical, puppetry, shadow, masks and more.
It was wonderful to see the creativity. Enjoy! And as always, what was your simple delight this week? |

Volunteered at the teacher appreciation luncheon at my son’s school. It was an honor and a delight. My son starts high school next year so he’ll be leaving this school. He’s been here since pre-school. My daughter went there too. MPA has played a big part in what he knows about learning and creating community and about friendship. It’s a small school with about 35 children in each class. I credit the teachers with seeing my son for who he is, and encouraging him to be all he could be. I trusted them with the most precious things to me. They held up their end of the bargain. I’m grateful. |
Simple Delights
…the practice of expanding our capacity for delight
Went to a christening last week. A beautiful sanctuary filled with friends and family to ritually welcome this new person into the world. People were happy and celebrating, with music, prayer and lots of positive energy. Simply delightful.

Last fall I spent hours planting new shrubs, bulbs and perennials in our newly designed front yard. Finally, a few weeks ago, things started to emerge and actually BLOOM! I am so excited by these beautiful daffodils sprinkling the yard. Yes, I have more to plant this spring, but it was such a kick to see the shrubs budding and the plants peeking their heads out. Yea! The point here, is that each time I walk into my house, I’m reminded of my effort and the reward. I can feel the buzz of excitement and joy in my body for the simple, natural beauty. And for a few minutes more, I am holding the vibration of delight. And that my friends, is the mission, to connect more and more moments of delight. Join me in the practice, what brings you simple delight? |
