I made all the choices that I thought would make me an equal –I walked the conventional road I went to a great college (Wellesley), a top business school (Harvard), worked as a marketing executive across multiple Fortune 500 companies. It was about 12 years into my corporate career when I hit a wall. I was accomplished but feeling empty. I made the decision to leave my corporate job and and began to live into the things that aligned with my soul and Beyond Blind Spots, the company, was born. In 2020, (yes, during the pandemic) I launched a sustainable women’s capsule collection for travel called ZoeGoes. I used the same methodology I teach in this course to harness my “lived experience” and the unique things about me, to create it. From pencil sketches to a live website in 15 months. I’ve never enjoyed expressing myself more!
We’re living in a dynamic time. One of the most important changes I see coming is greater empowerment for women. We have an opportunity to seize this moment and live into our possibilities.
I see women asserting themselves, taking their rightful positions of power and finally getting all that that we deserve through entrepreneurship. Owning your own business offers independence, financial freedom and unparalleled control over your life direction.
It seems that everyday there is a situation that underscores the need for us to claim our destinies, break out of conformity and others’ expectations and following the calling in our hearts.
Women have almost magical abilities when it comes to intuition, collaboration, problem solving, creativity, nurturing and uplifting others.
